Holden Martin

Holden Martin

    Entering his second year as lead assistant at Capital University. In charge of the oversight and development of the offense and infield play.
    Martin comes to Capital after most recently serving as the graduate assistant coach at fellow OAC school Muskingum University. At Muskingum, Martin oversaw the pitchers and served as the team’s academic coordinator.
    In addition to his time at Muskingum, Martin has gained coaching experience as the head coach of the Owensboro RiverDawgs and as a pitching and hitting instructor at The Garage Baseball Facility in Clarion, Pa.
    As a collegiate baseball player, Martin excelled as a pitcher and infielder for the Muskies.
    There, he was a four-year letterwinner and was named the OAC Pitcher of the Week on April 12, 2021.

Todd Holcomb (Hoagy)

  • About:

    Coach Holcomb has a long history in baseball. He played travel ball, high school, and college. For travel ball he played locally in Dublin and for the Columbus Cobras travel teams. In high school he played at Bishop Watterson, where Coach Holcomb was a two-time all-state 1st team, one-time honorable mention, Mizuno preseason All-American, and Blue Chip Winner. He went to play JUCO baseball in Jacksonville, FL,—unfortunately, an injury ended his college baseball career before he could even start. As an adult, he has coached travel ball for 10 years is a Volunteer Assistant Coach for Bishop Watterson Varsity Baseball and the Director for Wow Factor 614.

    Scott Manahan begins his 36th year of coaching baseball.  Scott was honored to have a lengthy high school coaching career with most of his time spent at Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus.  He is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Capital University.

    • Became a Three-Year Starting Catcher for Wittenberg from 1991-1993, After Spending His First Season at West Virginia Wesleyan
    • Assistant Coach at St. Paris Graham High School, His High School Alma Mater, Before Returning to Wittenberg as a Coach
    • Helped Lead the Falcons to a Division II State Runner-Up Finish in 1995
